Beetroot Roti / Tortilla Pizza - Without OVEN

Serves : 2


Ingredients

Wheatflour - 1 Cup

Oats / Oats Flour - ½ cup

Grated Beetroot - ½ cup

Oil - 2 Tbsps

Slices Red / Yellow / Green Capsicum - 1 Cup

Tomato Basil Sauce / Pizza Sauce - ½ cup

Mozzarella Cheese - 1/4th Cup

Chilli Flakes - 1 Tsp

Salt - 1 Tsp

Oregano - 1 Tsp

Water - 1 cup - For kneading the dough

Flour - 1/4th cup for dusting


Method

For Dough

  1. In a large bowl add the Wheat flour , Oats Flour , Beetroot . Make a small well in the centre add water followed by a pinch of salt and 1 Tbsps of oil. Mix all the ingredients well and keep kneading it till a firm dough is formed.

  2. Keep it aside for next ½ hour to 1 hour

Making the Beetroot Base

  1. Make small portions of the dough and roll it out with the help of flour, making sure they are even in thickness.

  2. Place it on the hot pan and add oil or butter if required and cook till golden brown from each side.

Assembly of the Pizza

  1. On a plate place the Roti , spread the tomato basil sauce followed by the veggies and sprinkle some chilli flakes , oregano and salt and finely some grated cheese.

  2. Place the assembled roti on pan and cover with a lid. Cook it for 2-5 min or till the cheese had melted.

  3. Serve immediately with a good portion of Salad.
